The Northern lights themed winter formal this year was hosted at the St. Paul Event Center on Feb. 22. The weekend of the winter formal was a hectic one for many students who participated in certain clubs, sports and research classes due to different events that all coincided that day.

“Honestly, I was debating whether I go to the dance or not because I was really exhausted after ASR, but then my dad was like, ‘there’s only so many opportunities that you’re gonna have like this in high school. […] I do think [going] was the right decision in the end because it made me feel slightly less stressed,” said junior Evan Morris.

Like Morris, some other students also participated in events that day such as the fencing state tournament as well as other meetings outside of school that filled their day. However, in the end, many students still showed up despite their busy days to hang out with friends and make memories together.
