On Wednesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race. Sen. Warren is pictured at her campaign rally in Oakland, CA, in May 2019.

On Wednesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was the last of former Vice President Joe Biden’s rivals from the campaign trail to endorse his candidacy in the 2020 presidential race, marking her joining of the Democratic party’s effort to unite against President Donald Trump. “[Joe Biden] knows that a government run with integrity, competence, and heart will save lives and save livelihoods,” Warren said in her almost four minute-long endorsement video, “And that’s why I’m proud to endorse Joe Biden as president of the United States.”

“Among all the other candidates I competed with in the Democratic primary, there’s no one I’ve agreed with 100 percent of the time over the years,” Warren continued, “but one thing I appreciate about Joe Biden is he will always tell you where he stands. When you disagree he’ll listen, and not just listen, but really hear you and treat you with respect no matter where you’re coming from.”

Warren’s video, which followed similar messages from Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday and former President Barack Obama on Tuesday, comes 41 days after suspending her own presidential campaign on Mar. 5.
