United win in thrilling fashion over Tartan
St. Paul United won a close back and forth game against the Tartan Titans with a last second goal to put them up 4-3 for good. United knew that this would be a tough game coming in.
“[Tartan] has a lot of individual talent that can’t be overlooked.” senior Hayley Hoffman said.
The Spartans brought the fight against Tartan and limited them to under 15 shots for the whole game. Tartan took advantage of the limited shots they got scoring three goals, one in each period. The game was close down to the last ten seconds when United mobbed the goal and pushed the puck into the net with 2.9 seconds.
Hoffmann was very happy with how they played, “I was proud of the way we stuck with the game until the end… it showed what kind of team we are.” said Hoffmann.
