2024 brought with it countless unforgettable events and moments, both from within the school community and the larger world.

1.[AROUND TOWN] The Nook serves up comfort and affordability
Junior Andrew Lipinsky writes a short yet in-depth review of the Nook, a staple restaurant in the St. Paul community. The review takes a look at all the aspects that make the Nook what it is today. The food, drinks, location, pricing and much more are talked about in an entertaining and informative way.

2.[OFF-SCREEN WITH OSTREM] Dune Part Two: A beautiful and brilliant blockbuster
Released on Mar. 1, 2024, “Dune: Part Two” was one of the year’s premiere cinematic events. A true science fiction spectacle, junior Peter Ostrem highlights the film’s sheer grandiosity and detailed craftsmanship while breaking down why the movie is a modern blockbuster masterpiece.

3.[DRAKE GALLERY] Senior seminar gallery showcases “People Watching”
Senior Clara Ann Bagnoli takes a look at the art showcased in the Drake Gallery and the meaning behind many of the pieces displayed. Now an alumni, Ann Bagnoli writing about the gallery gives a new perspective to the art and explains its importance and beauty in an intriguing way.

4.[HOCO] Dress up day-by-day
A collaborative effort, this story highlights a diverse set of outfits through homecoming week with photo galleries and storytelling captions.

MUSICAL HISTORY. The 2025 GRAMMYs will be the 67th ceremony, with the first having been held on May 4, 1959. The first Album of the Year award was given to Henry Mancini for his soundtrack to the TV series “Peter Gunn.” (Yassin Mokbel)

Junior Yassin Mokbel goes in depth on the Grammy nominations for this upcoming year’s award show. With so many genre-defining albums coming out this year. Mokbel’s analysis is refreshing.
