President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act spends around $ 369 billion on energy and climate. However, President-elect Donald Trump plans on cutting money from President Joe Biden’s climate law which will turn Minnesota’s energy industry upside down. Even with these complications Minnesota state law still demands that by 2040 that energy is generated through carbon-free power.

On Sunday night, a fight broke out at a nightclub in Downtown Minneapolis and escalated into a chaotic scene where shots were fired. Three people were either shot or injured after a chaotic scene at the Tantrum nightclub. This is the second nightclub shooting this month in which Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara points the finger at insufficient funding.

In the past days offensive texts and emails have been sent to L.G.B.T.Q. and hispanic people. Messages like these started after Donald J. Trump was elected, they were also being sent to women saying things like “your body, my choice”.

The small Alakan town of Utqiagvik starts its long winter with no light for the next months. On Nov.18 the sun will set for the last time of the year and will not rise until Jan.22 2025. Due to lack of sun the town will face extreme cold weather for this time.

After three planes were shot near Port au Prince in Haiti, the United States civil aviation regulator grounded all flights to and from Haiti for 30 days. Since the president of Haiti was assassinated on July 7th 2021, Haiti has been filled with gang violence and frequent shootings.
