Beaver trapping season began on the 25th of October. With many laws dictating the trapping and bagging of beavers, eating nuisance beavers is now illegal. Many hunters have raised questions about wild beavers, but eating those is still allowed. Beavers are mostly hunted now not for their pelts but their delicious meat and oil-producing glands, and dealing with the carcass could transfer a bacterium called tularemia.

Lack of mental care facilities in Minnesota has caused kids with more complex behavioral and mental challenges. Most go to Massachusetts and Texas and states other than Minnesota have encountered the same problem. In the past going out of state into a neighboring state has been common, but now, having to fly across the country to find treatment is a new issue for Minnesotans.

Deadly flooding occurred in the Valencia region in Spain following 16 inches of rainfall. Over 200 people were confirmed dead with an undisclosed number of missing people. Most citizens blame the government for their poor timing in warning the locals about this torrential downpour. The first message alerting the population only came out two hours after most of the damage was done.
