MSA planned the third annual hijab day in the SPA community; they handed out hijabs and sticks for students to show their support.
MSA president Iya Abdulkarim and vice president Mashal Naqvi facilitated a Q&A with speakers Tamara Gray and Lori Saroya. This event precludes Hijab Day, which will take place Feb. 1.

MSA hosted Christina Ferdous on Sept. 28 in Bigelow Commons to speak about Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha and her experience as being a Muslim who wasn't raised in a Muslim household. "I studied it [Islam] for several years and then decided that it most closely aligned with my own innate beliefs," Ferdous said.
