Sophomore Iris Luther-Suhr has attended many protests over the years, but her participation has taken on a new significance as the national political landscape changes drastically.
In only her second year of participating in Poetry Out Loud, sophomore Sofia Rivera won the state championship for the competition and is heading to D.C. in May for the national competition.
As March concludes and Women’s History Month is celebrated, it’s important to honor and share the stories of female athletes—whether at the local or national level.
