Lauren Boettcher , RubicOnline Chief Story Editor and Social Media Manager

Lauren Boettcher is excited to serve as the RubicOnline Chief Story Editor and Social Media Manager for the 2016-17 school year. Currently a senior, she is entering her third year as a member of the Rubicon staff. Boettcher says that her favorite part of journalism is being able to tell all sides of the story, especially that side which is often neglected. Her favorite newspaper other than The Rubicon is the Star Tribune. She is also a member of the SPA Girls Varsity hockey team, a Girls Varsity soccer team manager, and the public relations manager of SPA’s Muslim Students Alliance. Three words she would use to describe herself are honest, trustworthy, and funny. Boettcher is interested in pursuing a career as an emergency medical physician someday. Her interests outside of academics include swimming, reading, and watching movies.
