On game days, the site of the team spirit brought out by the team’s music is the home softball diamond at the Randolph Campus.

As the spring softball season reaches the thick of the season, team chemistry and personality can be a defining factor for future success, as well as create a positive vibe for each player during stressful times. Music can be an essential player in relieving the pressures of the season, as every team has a pump-up or favorite song or playlist that players can get excited about. For the St. Paul Academy girls softball team, popular hip-hop and pop music featuring artists Future, Drake, and Khalid do the trick. The team has a wide range of personalities, as even country music by Zac Brown Band makes up part of the team’s musical identity. Sophomore Ellie Nowakowski knows the value of the team playlist.

“Music really relaxes the team before a big game. We enjoy listening to this playlist because they are all songs that we love and can dance to, and that we know we can have a good time with at a game or practice,” Nowakowski said.

Music brings a team together, and the softball team’s music of choice is available on Spotify @therubiconspa.
