SPA THINKS: When should students start thinking about college?
As the school year begins, many students are starting the college application process, which can be a stressful, time-consuming activity. Although starting early may be beneficial for some students, for others, the pressure is overwhelming. Students tend to set high or unachievable expectations for themselves, and fixate on the app. This “tunnel vision” approach can often lead to a negative perception of high school, and prevents students from genuinely enjoying school-related experiences. We asked four students for their opinion on when kids should start thinking about college.
