[SOUNDCLOUD PLAYLIST] Girls hockey gets ready to ‘drop the puck’ and the beat in sections
The St. Paul United co-op girls hockey team finished their regular season this past Saturday with a 2-0 win over Northfield. The team finished with a record of 11 wins 13 losses and a tie. This set the United up to be ranked as the #3 team in their section, 4A, which allows them to start their postseason play at home against #6 ranked Minnehaha United. The co-op has gotten huge contributions throughout the season from students from St. Paul Academy, with sophomore forward Lucie Bond leading the team in goals, assists, and points; and junior goalie Alison Audette leading the team in wins and save percentage.
Throughout the season, the team has relied on music to pump them up throughout the season. Their playlist consists of many rap and pop songs, with a title of “more than pump up” at the top. While many other SPA teams have playlists, the girls hockey team is the only one to use Soundcloud instead of Spotify.
The playlist can be found here, or in the girls hockey locker room before their section quarterfinal 7 p.m. at Drake when they take on Minnehaha United.
