Sophomores celebrate service hours with ice cream
Sophomores excitedly waited their turn while the ice cream truck played its signature jingle. The ice cream was also celebrating more than just the nice spring weather. In celebration of the entire sophomore class completing their minimum 12 hours of service, as promised by US Science teacher and class leader Ned Heckman, sophomores were gifted an ice cream truck. In order to get their reward of ice cream, sophomores not only had to fulfill their service requirement, they had to turn in all completed hours back in February.
Students chatted about how they completed their hours, how many they completed, and more importantly, how delicious their ice cream was.
