[PHOTO STORY] Boys lacrosse topples Mound Westonka in decisive win
On Saturday, May 13, the TrIMAC Blackhawks took on the Mound Westonka Whitehawks in a boys lacrosse battle. The final score of 20-8 signaled a dominant win for the Blackhawks, contributing to their 7-1 record this season.
The first quarter was high-scoring, with a 7-5 finish in favor of the Blackhawks. They continued to have the upper hand throughout the second quarter, scoring seven more goals to go up 14-6 at the halfway point of the game. The third quarter ended with a score of 18-7, showing little hope for the Whitehawks to have a comeback. The competition was over with TrIMAC’s 20 goals defeating Mound Westonka’s eight.
The Blackhawks are composed of players from St. Paul Academy, Minnehaha Academy, St. Croix Lutheran Academy, DeLaSalle High School, St. Agnes High School, Concordia Academy, South Saint Paul High School, and Nova Classical Academy. Their season has been one of great success this year, winning the IMAC championship on Wednesday, May 10 with a victory against Blake.
The Blackhawks will have their next game on Tuesday, May 16 against Holy Angels at Minnehaha Academy (North Campus).
