[PHOTO STORY] 3:4, Spartans lose to Panthers at sectionals
After a 3:3 tie against MPA Panthers Oct. 4, the last game of the match was paused due to the early sunset and was scheduled to continue Oct. 6. Best out of three wins, Thursday’s game featured captain Ali Browne’s third and final set against the Panthers which will ultimately determined the team’s match and section placement. After the initial sets from Tuesday’s match ended at 7:5 and 4:6, the third set resumed at a game score of 1:2.
Spartans cheering, parents supporting, and coaches mentoring, after a tough and close match, Browne lost against the Panthers with a third set final score of 2:6. With a 9:6 record, the Spartan Varsity Tennis season ended.
