PHOTO GALLERY: Boys Soccer rises with passion, beats Providence
With a determined offense and disciplined defense, the Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Providence Academy on Sept. 5. The first goal of the game was scored by junior Eric Lagos off of a penalty kick. Quickly after this, junior Adam Zukowski also scored which uplifted the whole team throughout the rest of the first half, and the game. As Providence put up a tough defense, SPA ignited newfound energy that proved helpful in finishing strong. BVS looks to improve each game and a clear sense of this passion was prevalent throughout the game.
“We are taking the season game by game. We are not trying to look too far forward into the postseason so that we can focus on improving during the regular season so we can be our best come playoff time,” Zukowski said.
Continous perseverance prompted a BVS win with a final score of 3-1.
