Organizations collaborate for December food drive
Community Action and Service and JCLC are hosting a food drive. Donations will be given to Hallie Q. Brown, Neighborhood House, and the Department of Indian Work. Members will plan for curbside pickup at houses between Dec. 6-9 (with a Google Form request). Donations can also be dropped at the Davern entrance of the Randolph Campus between 8am-4pm those days.
Below is a list of items that can be donated:
- Highest priority: Personal protective equipment (nitrile/vinyl gloves), milk, and paper grocery bags.
- Dry goods: rice (including long-grained, jasmine, kokuho), beans, crackers, pancake mix, flour, maseca, rice flour, baking powder, yeast, sugar, baking soda, salt, bamboo/rice/pasta noodles, instant potatoes, soup mixes, oatmeal, cereals, artificial sweetener, sugar-free items for people with diabetes
- Canned & bottled items: beans, spaghetti sauce, vegetable oil, syrup, canned tuna, chicken, ham, corned beef, beef stew, canned tomatoes, coconut milk, applesauce, fruit juices, jam
- Personal care & household items: toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes
