It may be a decade old, but watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood for the second time this last week confirmed how good the show is. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a fictional animated television show  about two brothers; Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric, living in 19th century Germany. The show includes magic and fast paced fight scenes, as well as intriguing dialogue and great character development. These factors are what make the show so interesting.

At the beginning Alphonse Elric loses his whole body, though his soul remains tethered to a suit of armor and his brother Edward Elric loses his arm and leg. Throughout the show, the brothers embark on a journey searching for a way to get their bodies back. The story takes many turns and the brothers are forced to react to many different situations that they are put in.

The fight scenes are as enjoyable as the character development. Not everyone is likable, and there are some secondary characters that are predictable and boring.

This show teaches the value of friends, and how to remain truthful and hard working in whatever path in life one chooses to follow.

The majority of people should enjoy this show, if they give it a chance. Some teens or adults might see the show as childish or stupid because it is animated, but the animation doesn’t take away from the show’s content at all. The majority of the episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are rated TV-14 so it isn’t intended for young children.

Overall, FMA brotherhood is a very well rounded show and is really entertaining.
