USC creates new social spaces

In effort to create more spaces for students, new chairs were added to the Huss Center on May 16. The four cushioned chairs are located next to the trophy cases by the athletic hallway stairs.

“There has been a lot of talk about not having enough spaces, so USC decided to look for underutilized space to use,” said Henry Ziemer.

This spot was chosen because it is out of the way, yet in a place where students usually walk through.

“I like to see people coming and going,” said Gabriella Harmoning.

She and her friends sat in the new space for the first time and decided it is a space they will continue to utilize. ”

I like it because it’s a place to sit that’s not the library or lunchroom,” said Camilla Myers. Harmoning also mentioned the new space is more quiet.
