Beautiful harmonies echo throughout the building, reverberating off the high ceilings, as people sit in silence eagerly listening. On Apr. 26, the student group Iris: Art and Literature hosted their last open mic night of the year in the Summit Center. Students and faculty sang songs from well-known artists, shared original poems along works by their favorite authors, and there was even an impromptu story time from Upper School Counselor Susanna Short. While it was a smaller audience, the atmosphere and dynamic was inviting, fun, and enthusiastic.
