The cross country team competed in a meet held at Levi P. Dodge Middle School on Thursday evening. At the race, known as the Farmington Cowbell Run, all participants ran a 5K.
The girls’ competition had 308 runners, with four SPA students finishing in the top 50. Senior Taylor Barkwell placed third with a time of 19:26.3, junior Maren Overgaard placed 26th with a time of 21:19.0, sophomore Paloma Good placed 43rd with a time of 22:13.2, and freshman Alyda Overgaard placed 48th with a time of 22:21.6.
The boys’ race had 542 runners, with senior Finn Miller-Fimpel finishing 145th with a time of 19:48.1, junior Jack Hickman finishing 151st with a time of 19:53.6, senior Isidor Valdez finishing 157th with a time of 19:58.9, and sophomore Aldegundo Brenneman finishing 194th with a time of 20:35.1.
