GVS played Minnehaha at home on brisk Tuesday night. In a sweeping victory, the Spartans pulled ahead, winning 6-0. Junior Clare Ryan Bradley scored three times, junior Elizabeth Tuttle scored twice and Maggie Sampsell-Jones scored once. Coming out of a 5 game losing streak, the soccer players fought valiantly and proved to themselves that they could put the ball in the back of the net. “The energy was really high and I could feel the excitement, invigorating the team towards a win…It felt deserved to win by that much after all the work we’ve put in the last few practices,” McCarthy said.
