Girls Basketball has mixed success against Blake
Girls Varsity Basketball played The Blake School Bears last night at home and lost 53-40. It was one of their harder games of the season. GVB scored 32 of their 40 total points during the second half while the bears had an equal number of points in the first and the second. The team played substantially better in the second half with strong playing from Seniors Erin Mcnamer, Izzy Denny, Emily Carter, and Hannah Scott. Mcnamer had at least four three pointers and Junior Audrey Egly got a couple of layups. At one point during the second half, the score was within seven points with the help of a surprisingly large (and rowdy) fan section. Sports fans and RubicOnline editors, Jake Adams and Peter Blanchfield, brought their “Dilly Dilly”, “It’s time to go on a bear hunt”, and “Awww Nuts” signs.
