Friends of the Mississippi River

The Friends of the Mississippi river aim to restore, protect, and enhance the Mississippi. They aim to do activities and programs which restore and conserve the Mississippi River. Volunteers play a huge part in this program, as they come in both large and small groups to help.

“I help a lot with the classes, which are in groups, but it definitely ranges. People come in groups or individually,” the representative, Kate, said.

The main goal for the Friends of the Mississippi River is to get people outside and help preserve the land and the river so that it can remain enjoyable for Minnesota’s population.
