During the last few months of winter, the cold weather seems to drag on forever. In these times, a splash of creativity is more than welcome, and SPA’s MS Winter Art Showcase, titled “Creativity,” delivers exactly that.

Opened on Feb. 21, the gallery features several works from sixth and seventh-grade artists, including displays with collaborative artworks between upper schoolers and middle schoolers, a cardboard arcade and art created by special interest clubs. The objective was to develop creativity within students. According to signs in the gallery, the steps for doing so are to embrace curiosity, practice, develop confidence, explore and experiment, seek diverse perspectives and engage in activity and with others.

“Creativity” will close on Mar. 16.
