The Drake Gallery’s monthly (or bimonthly) rotating art exhibition never fails to display pieces that bring color and joy to the school environment. Since the beginning of the school year, the gallery has cycled through various shows, including local artist Duke Nguyen’s vibrant paintings, a capstone exhibit featuring both the US Advanced Art Workshops and MS artworks, and an alumni exhibition all the way back in September. Now, Drake Gallery kicked off a new semester celebrating the younger members of the community by showcasing art created by the LS students and MS students.
The gallery opened on Jan. 18 and has proved to be a pleasant way to begin the year. The works featured in the exhibit vary from ceramics to tinfoil sculptures, giving all community members an opportunity to show off their art skills.
The exhibit will close on Feb. 14. The Drake Gallery is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. every day that school is in session.
