The ceremony will include all the elements of our traditional Commencement ceremony: musical selections; remarks by Head of School Bryn Roberts and Board of Trustees President Tim Welsh; the presentation of the Faculty Bowl, Alumni/ae Bowl, and Head of School Bowl; and a speech by a senior Commencement speaker.
Car Processional and Faculty Celebration: Saturday, June 20, 5 p.m.
The post-Commencement faculty recessional, in which the graduates walk through a line of their teachers to receive their congratulations with instead be a car processional through a pre-determined route around the Randolph campus. The processional route will be lined by faculty (also in their cars) to greet and congratulate the graduates.
In a statement to seniors and families, Delgado wrote, “Although those celebrations will look very different this year, all of us feel tremendous enthusiasm for this milestone and a deep sense of appreciation for how [seniors have] shaped SPA during these last four years.”
The All Night Party hosted by the Parent’s Association has been canceled. The school plans to host a reception for the Class of 2020 sometime in the fall or early winter if social distancing guidelines allow for larger gatherings.
