Cards for Hospitalized Kids
Cards for Hospitalized Kids is a nationwide non-profit organization that aims to spread hope, joy, and magic to hospitalized kids through uplifting, handmade cards. CFHK distributes cards on a monthly basis and holiday cards for major holidays to Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses in all fifty states. Over 500,000 kids have received cards from CFHK since the organization was launched.
Gifts for Seniors
Gifts for Seniors provides donated community resources for isolated older adults in need during life-affirming social visits. Cards for isolated older adults are collected all year round. This is a local non profit in Minneapolis and the cards are distributed in our Twin Cities Community.
HandsOn Twin Cities
HandsOn Twin Cities is committed to shifting the culture of volunteerism to be more inclusive and anti-racist to foster the creation of more equitable communities. Their mission statement is to inspire, equip, and mobilize a movement of people to make a positive difference through community engagement and service and has done so for the past 105 years.
Operation Gratitude
Operation Gratitude provides service opportunities to express gratitude to first responders and veterans who fought for the U.S. Military. Since the organization’s inception, they have sent a total of four million care packages containing items to boost the morale and resilience of service members and give them warm reminders of home. Every care package contains handmade cards and handwritten notes to bring lasting joy and encouragement to the individuals who dedicate their lives to serving others.
Period Kits MN
Period Kits MN is a statewide non-profit organization that aids women experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and poverty through menstrual healthcare. They provide kits that have at least a 30-day supply of menstrual products.
STAR House
STAR House, a newly-opened crisis nursery in St. Paul, aims to provide a temporary home-away-from-home for children under the age of six and supportive services to uplift and strengthen families experiencing crises, such as homelessness, medical emergencies, and domestic violence. The hygiene and arts and crafts kits will support children who attend the nursery, the STAR ornaments will be gifted to donors and supporters of the nursery, and the social media promotion videos will be used to spread education on trauma-informed care.
