Aileen Guiney comes to SPA next fall with “almost two decades of experience and success as both a top-level collegiate soccer player and coach,” according to Taylor Tvedt, who made the announcement Thursday.

As an undergraduate, Guiney played Division I soccer at Northwestern University, where she was an NSCAA All-American player and earned First Team All-Big Ten honors twice while earning her BA in Political Science. She served as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan for four seasons, during which the program was in the Top 25 nationally and qualified for the NCAA and Big Ten Tournaments.
