Boys ultimate wins first game of the season
The varsity boys ultimate frisbee team won their first game of the season against Cretin Derham Hall on 4 Apr. 2019. The Spartans never lost their energy or excitement for the game through the cold and wet weather.
“We were nervous at first, but when we saw their skill we calmed ourselves down and put ourselves back in order,” Husaam Qureishy said.
Throughout the game coaches, Baker and Heckman encouraged their players to keep the main goal of ultimate in my mind for the entire game. The final score was 15-6 Spartans, and seniors Qureishy and Eric Lagos lead the team in points. Their next game on 11 Apr. 2019 against Edina at Edina.
