[AROUND TOWN] Hop on the Sushi Train
Want to see the food before deciding on it? Tired of slow service? Enter Sushi Train, Japanese cuisine with a twist.
Located in downtown Minneapolis’s Nicollet Mall, Sushi Train opened spring of 2018 as the first conveyor belt sushi restaurant in the state. The concept is simple: dishes are assembled in a prep area, then sent off throughout the restaurant on a conveyor belt which eventually circles back to the drop off point after passing each table and booth in the restaurant. While some items on the menu are available to order traditionally and have brought directly to the table by a server—such as beverages or poke bowls— the bulk of the items are delivered via the “train”.
From its innovative building design and unique food-delivery system to the exquisite flavor and execution of each dish, Sushi Train is worth the visit. Never wait for sushi again.
