Minnesota’s budget for the future has flipped from a large sum of money to a $6 billion deficit. GOP leaders have blamed the huge deficit on the irrational spending by democrats, when they controlled both sides of the legislative chambers, of last cycle’s budget of nearly $18 billion surplus.

Saint Paul school district began preparing and giving out take-home meals, lunch and dinner, for students practicing Ramadan. However, the meals still have to fall in the school’s budget, averaging out at $5.25 for meals.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration looks after the wildlife in the ocean and forecasts weather. The Trump Administration has told the NOAA that they need to lower their employees by around 1,000 in addition to the others they have alright let go.

With many scientists still in support of fluoride being kept in drinking water to maintain healthy teeth, Utah is the first state to stop providing fluoride in water. Governer Cox said that dentists he spoke to didn’t see any large differences with no fluoride and with fluoride. This is set to take effect in early May.

Going into effect on Mar. 20, China put in place tariffs on Canada’s largest export to China, canola and canola products. In response to the tariffs, Canada put on China’s cars and metals, which took place in Aug. 2024.
